eerie

looking forward to a future worth remembering with the most entertaining housemates yet.
dumpster-diving adventures, rambling rhymes, abandoned house hangs and late night missions; we are the sickest cunts out. (the streets in the suburbs empty out by 10pm on weeknights. it's pretty eerie.)

calm.

Not much to draw in killa-camp-hilla apart from boring streets, after a while they get a little interesting. The suburbs are in a constant state of quiet tension; a consistent calm that you'd normally only encounter before a storm. Feels like some shit is about to hit the fan.

sickly.

Sally Seltmann is sweeter than ever, I can't stop listening to her new album and I've been kicking myself all week for missing her show.
It's a little sickly-sweet and overly sentimental but forget cynicism and pretend for a little while that humans have the capacity to feel the purest happiness and optimism.

mostly it sounds like this.

majesty.

my new house has me awestruck. I'm lost in the unfathomable depths of it's filth, veiled by a crust of dried food and a fine powdery film of cigarette ash congealed in patches of spilled bong water. home sweet home. My favourite find so far is a china plate with little skerricks of dried food, which has become home to the household deep-heat tube. (this actually came in handy when I rolled my ankle the other week so perhaps it is deserving of its majestic crockery throne.)
from a squat to a hovel. I'm moving up in the world.
I'm probably being a little melodramatic.

biomega.

I've been getting quite enthused about a Manga called 'Biomega'. It's pretty intense; even though its a prequel it doesn't ease you into the storyline at, it just thrusts you into a complicated world of a future dystopia.
I'm a total sucker for anything with a dystopian setting.
Also, one of the characters in a bear with a human brain.

Anyways, this manga has some amazing artwork, there's some really cool atmospheric stuff going on there. It kinda inspired me to pick up pen and ink in some new fashion- perhaps not the most sucessful fashion but it's been a while since I've drawn something new so I'm thankful.

spaceho.

making art for other people is pretty damn fun. I can finally embrace sycophanism unashemedly! mostly this applies to a tattoo design i did for a friend since it's probably pretty imprtant that she be happy with the design since she's going to have it underneath her flesh for forever.

this is a zine submission for Mel Stringers 'Borrowed suitcase'
It's Pretty exciting working with artists that you adore. So much more motivation and enthusiasm!
